SKS is a service company, which specializes in the reconditioning and complete manufacture of Industrial Gear Boxes as well as gear cutting and complete manufacture of a large range of gears to suit individual customer requirements. The bulk of the gears we are involved in are produced for the Coal and Gold Mining Industry. We also manufacture for Lifting Equipment, Shuttle Cars, Loaders and Scrapers as well as earth moving equipment. We manufacture gears and gearboxes for armored vehicles as well as exciter gearbox gears.
We have in excess of 100 gear cutting machines, 5 axis Milling machine, CNC Turning, Lathes, Milling, Drilling, Conventional Turning, Gear Grinding, Worm Thread Grinding, Slotting, Key seating & various machines for testing backlash marking, height and thickness and hardness. We are also able to do lead and profile testing.
